#188 - 16th October 2024 - Rings and Beads and Friends

Resurrected from the dead and forgotten. 💀

After some thinking and scribbling and reconsidering and weighing complexity, footprint, prices and production value, I came to the conclusion that my orange „beat rack“ could be repurposed rather than buying an entirely new 3U 84TE rack which would host 50% of what‘s in the orange one anyway.

Main reason for that? I found hinges that could actually fit and make my DIY case road ready by attaching the cover to it. „In delivery“ according to Amazon.

And then I channeled my enthusiasm into checking whether the SSF dipole filter would be a good companion in such a rack. I‘m not sure yet. For some reason it sounds really good when running full waves through it. But for the plucky physical modeling sounds that Rings produces, it does not add much. It comes to live though, when I start FM‘ing it.

So I‘m undecided.
