#169 - 27th September 2024 - Suonobuono Polyvera
It‘s gear season. Lots of interesting announcements recently.
The small kemper player has gotten upgrades, Epiphones brings the Grabber bass back which is a very intriguing instrument as Nirvana and Oceansize bass sounds were made with it, and Italian synth manufacturer Suonobuono wants to bring the Polyvera wavetable and sampling synth.
I got all the synth power I need. But not all that I want.
My wet dream would be Xfer‘s Serum in a hardware box. Polyphonic, 2 OSCs that can load wavetables and support unison, a sub OSC, noise generator, multitimbral, FM’able, amp ENV, filter ENV, digital highly customizable ENV, 2 highly customizable LFOs, analog distortion, analog filter and an analog OTT as icing on the cake. Of course, including the routing options that make the Serum great.
What a machine this would be…
From what I can see, the Polyvera isn’t exactly that. But I like the size and accessibility it seems to offer.
It is supposed to be fully revealed at a Roman synth show in November.
