#146 - 4th September 2024 - Live video manipulation
What a coincidence. Yesterday on the train, on my way back to Munich I was thinking about ways to make live streams and DIY video shoots a bit more interesting through image and video projection.
Today, I found the news that Videosync gets an update. I think I've seen v1 of this software before, found it quite intriguing but never got to try it out.
That is going to change with this iteration. The fact that Midi can change video is really awesome. This would allow my live playing to have direct impact on visuals - same with drum triggers and the drum pad.
Other options are manual automation, envelope following, LFOs and other dynamic introducing tools that are native to Ableton Live can also be used.
The only caveat so far: I could not find any statements about the manipulation of a live feed e.g. from a web cam.
Google brought this M4L device.
Other than that, I got mix feedback from the mastering engineer today. A bit more thump on the kick and a little more de-essing on the vocals. I already adjusted both and I guess the master will be done by end of this week.
